Bertelles is a Belgian brand specialising in men’s braces, bringing this traditional accessory into the contemporary wardrobe without making it feel nostalgic or costume-like. Founded in 2015, the brand was built on the belief that braces should be a practical and distinctive part of everyday dressing. Since then, Bertelles has supplied its designs to more than 25,000 customers around the world.

Based in Brussels, Bertelles is gradually moving more of its production towards local craftsmanship, shorter supply chains and partnerships with Belgian manufacturers. The focus is not on producing the widest possible collection. Instead, the brand pays close attention to proportion, the tension of the elastic sections, reliable fastening and the precise finishing of its leather components.

Material selection plays an important role in each design. Bertelles uses carefully chosen components, including naturally tanned leather that becomes more distinctive as it develops a patina over time. Individual parts are continuously tested and refined to provide a balanced combination of comfort, functionality and a cultivated appearance.

The collections include understated braces for regular wear as well as more expressive designs inspired by workwear and the outdoors. For me, the main strength of Bertelles is its ability to combine practical construction with elegant design. These are braces made to be worn regularly—with tailored trousers, a suit or more relaxed outfits where a well-chosen accessory adds genuine character.
